Prompt: As we think about our upcoming Vocabulary Monday, tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

Prompt: My favorite word right now is aesthetic because it sounds cool and can describe almost anything that looks good or feels a certain way. I like how people use it to talk about their style, their room, or even their social media pages. It’s a word that makes simple things seem more creative . I hear it all the time from my friends and see it used online in captions and comments. I probably use it every day because it’s the perfect word to describe things that just fit a certain vibe. Summary: Today in class we finished up our presentations. Reflection: Today I learned not to have my air pods in when I walk by Mr. Lloyd.

In “Birches,” Robert Frost celebrates imagination as a way to escape life’s difficulties and reconnect with innocence. The speaker wishes to “get away from earth awhile” but also understands that he must eventually return to reality. Think about the role of imagination in your own life. How does imagination help you cope with challenges, boredom, or stress?

Prompt: Imagination helps me cope with challenges by letting me escape through music, especially when I listen to Treaty Oak Revival. Their songs help me picture open roads and quiet nights, taking my mind away from stress and pressure. When I’m feeling overwhelmed, I imagine being at one of their concerts, surrounded by people who understand the same emotions. That kind of daydream makes me feel free and calm, even if just for a moment. Like in Birches,  music and imagination let me “get away from earth awhile” before coming back to face real life again. Summary: Today in class we read the poem Birches and started our presentations. Reflection: I learned hot to balance forces in AP Physics.

After reading “Out, Out—” by Robert Frost, reflect on a time when you faced a dangerous or high-pressure situation that demanded your complete focus. What made the situation risky, and how did your concentration affect the outcome?

Prompt: One time, I was driving with my family during a heavy rainstorm, and the roads were really slippery. I had to focus completely on keeping the car steady and watching for other vehicles. The situation was risky because one small mistake could have caused an accident. By staying calm and concentrating, I was able to make quick, careful decisions. This experience reminded me how important focus can be in dangerous moments, just like in “Out-Out” when losing focus led to tragedy. Summary: We read the poem Out Out. Reflection: I learned how to properly break down a poem.

Prompt: What did you do over fall break?

Prompt: Over fall break I did lots of things. I went to Blue Ridge with my friends, slept in a lot, and I went to Athens for a concert and UGA game. On the Friday before break my friends and I drove up to Michael's  mountain house in Blue Ridge. We went to town, played with all his animals, and just had a great time. Then when we got back that Sunday I really did not do anything. Then Friday morning I drove up to my brothers house in Athens and we went to the Gavin Addcock concert, we snuck into the pit and had a blast. I also got his drummer sticks. Then I went to the Ole Miss vs UGA game, It was awesome. The atmosphere was insane, and the dawgs came home with the W so no complaints there. Summary: Today in class we got our 15 vocabulary words and created a comic strip Reflection: I learned i should probably save my homework passes.

Prompt: How do you find time to enjoy your day, even when you have a lot going on? Write about at least three specific things you do to enjoy small moments throughout your day.

Prompt: Some ways I like to find joy in my day is when i hangout with my friends, play video games, and listen to music. Hanging out with my friends is so much fun, we drive around and go to parties It's the best part of my weekends. Even when there is absolutely nothing to do or nowhere to go, we still manage to have a good time. I love playing video games so much, when i'm home with nothing to do, i just get on my Ps5 and the hours go by like seconds. NCAA 26 is easily my favorite to play by myself or with my friends. Listening to music just calms my soul, late night drive all alone, windows down , music at full volume. It just brings me peace and i have a very good time doing so. Summary: Today I was not in class because I left early for Fall Break with the boys. Reflection: I learned that i probably shouldn't have skipped  7th period, and that i should study WAY more for algebra.

Prompt: Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

Prompt: A time when someones words have a lasting impact on me was when my parents told me I had to quit football. I have played my entire life and a couple of concussions just threw it all away. I was devastated, i loved football so much. The people on the team, the coaches, and the game itself was amazing and truly something special. Ever since I stopped playing all i can do is think about playing. I don't even know what to do anymore in my free time, it is so weird not being out there with my brothers. Summary: Today in class we finished our argumentative paragraph. Reflection: Today i learned how to properly structure my evidence.

Prompt: Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone.

Prompt: A moment i had to step out of my comfort zone was when i first came to lakeside as a tiny little freshman and all my brothers friends who were a year younger than me invited me to their parties. I had no clue what high school life was like and man was it different from middle school. That was probably the first time i had been around so many people at a house. Also my first ever party that wasn't a birthday party. So it was very new and different for me. Definitely felt like I stepped way too far out of my comfort zone. But i made friends and a bunch or funny memories. Summary: Today in class we started our argumentative paragraph. Reflection: I learned that Georgia's money line to beat Auburn was -180.

Write about a dream that felt real.

Prompt: A dream that felt real to me was when i was driving a car with all my friends and we were on the highway. For some reason there was this big crater in the ground and the right side tires hit the edge of it. So we started going lights peed and the whole car was spinning. I regained control of the wheel, then i look up and see a giant ramp. I couldn't get out of the way in time so we went up it at a very fast rate. We shoot straight up into the air higher than the empire state building. And as we descend back down to earth i can literally feel myself free falling. It was insane, and of course as soon as i hit the ground i woke up. But i genuinely believe it happened when i woke up. Summary: Today in class we did our vocab words. Reflection: I learned what boor meant, and now i call people that.

Prompt: Write about something you’ve always been curious about.

Prompt: Something I have always been curious about is what is really going on in Area 51. I have a couple of cool theories but we will never know the truth. Could it be aliens, spaceships, or even crazier stuff we don't even know exist. My theory is alien items and the truth behind the moon landings. There is no way they would be this strict about people going in or even flying over, if they didn't have anything suspicious to hide. There is definitely something fishy going on and i really want to know what is happening. Summary: Today in class we finished our paragraph on our unpopular opinion. Reflection: I learned how to construct our paragraphs.

Prompt: Write about the best gift you have received.

Prompt: The best gift I have ever received was probably my Ps5. I got it for my 16th birthday, I mainly only wanted it because i wanted to play the first college football game in 10 years. And man i loved it, i had over 300 hours on College Football 24 and never got tired of it. But i also loved the Ps5 for its other features better graphics, can watch movies, and the newest games that were only available for next gen consoles. I still play it way too much instead of doing my homework. Which is a blessing but very dumb of me. Summary: Today in class we talked and took notes about unpopular opinions. Reflection: I learned how to use log in algebra.

Prompt: Write about a conversation that changed you.

Prompt: A conversation that changed me was when  my brother told me Santa wasn't real. I was very young and i was so excited for Santa to come.I was talking to my brother and i guess he got annoyed at me for an unknown reason and yelled "SANTA IS FAKE". I did not believe him at first then i asked my parents and they had to tell me the truth because they knew i was going to look it up.So they told me, I was devastated. It felt like my whole life was a lie, from an 8-9 year old perspective. Leaving shoe prints, eating the cookies, and eating the reindeer food. I would beg to stay up and watch him come but they told me if i did that i would get coal. Of course i believed them and luckily he would always come bearing gifts for us. But now i am older I know hes not real, but I still wish i was 6 years old again and believing he was really real. Summary: In class we took notes and completed our vocabulary assignment. Reflection: I learned how to skin a rabbit.
