After reading “Out, Out—” by Robert Frost, reflect on a time when you faced a dangerous or high-pressure situation that demanded your complete focus. What made the situation risky, and how did your concentration affect the outcome?

Prompt: One time, I was driving with my family during a heavy rainstorm, and the roads were really slippery. I had to focus completely on keeping the car steady and watching for other vehicles. The situation was risky because one small mistake could have caused an accident. By staying calm and concentrating, I was able to make quick, careful decisions. This experience reminded me how important focus can be in dangerous moments, just like in “Out-Out” when losing focus led to tragedy.

Summary: We read the poem Out Out.

Reflection: I learned how to properly break down a poem.

Everyone has burning questions about life. Mysteries we wonder about but don’t always have clear answers for. Think about your biggest questions about existence, purpose, or the world around you. Write a blog post where you share at least two of your most burning questions about life and explain why these questions matter to you.

Write about a time when you did something out of the norm. What was it and how did others react?
