In “Birches,” Robert Frost celebrates imagination as a way to escape life’s difficulties and reconnect with innocence. The speaker wishes to “get away from earth awhile” but also understands that he must eventually return to reality. Think about the role of imagination in your own life. How does imagination help you cope with challenges, boredom, or stress?

Prompt: Imagination helps me cope with challenges by letting me escape through music, especially when I listen to Treaty Oak Revival. Their songs help me picture open roads and quiet nights, taking my mind away from stress and pressure. When I’m feeling overwhelmed, I imagine being at one of their concerts, surrounded by people who understand the same emotions. That kind of daydream makes me feel free and calm, even if just for a moment. Like in Birches, music and imagination let me “get away from earth awhile” before coming back to face real life again.

Summary: Today in class we read the poem Birches and started our presentations.

Reflection: I learned hot to balance forces in AP Physics.

In “The Interlopers” by Saki, Ulrich and Georg view each other as interlopers, outsiders intruding on their land and their lives. Think about a time when you felt like an interloper or when someone else felt out of place in your world. How did that situation affect relationships, emotions, or outcomes?

Everyone has burning questions about life. Mysteries we wonder about but don’t always have clear answers for. Think about your biggest questions about existence, purpose, or the world around you. Write a blog post where you share at least two of your most burning questions about life and explain why these questions matter to you.

Write about a time when you did something out of the norm. What was it and how did others react?
