Prompt: In “I, Too,” the speaker expresses pride in his identity and his rightful place in America. Reflect on your own life: What aspect of your cultural identity are you most proud of, and why?

One part of my cultural identity that I am most proud of is my Christianity. It has taught me important values like kindness, patience, and treating others with respect. My faith also gives me strength during hard times and helps me stay hopeful about the future. I feel connected to something bigger than myself, and that makes me more confident in who I am. Because of this, my Christianity continues to guide my choices and shape the person I want to become.

Summary: Today in class we read and analyzed a poem.

Reflection: I learned how to bake the perfect cookie.

Write about a time when you did something out of the norm. What was it and how did others react?
