Of today’s 15 vocabulary words, which three do you think you will use the most in your speaking and writing this semester? Explain why each word feels useful or powerful to you.

Prompt: I think one word I will use most this semester is ambiguous because, it is a very known word and it can have many different meanings and the way you portray it in texts. For example : The homework I get for physics is very ambiguous. Another word I will use a lot this semester is aesthetic because, it is a very common word and it is very easy to pair with the way something looks. For example: I love the way Mr. Rease's classroom looks, it is very aesthetically pleasing. Lastly another word I believe we will use a lot more is affinity because, we talk about poems a lot and a big thing in the poem industry is love. Affinity is loving something, so I think we will be seeing this word very often.

Summary: Today in class we wrote 15 sentences using our new vocabulary words.

Reflection: I learned a lot of new words and improved my vocabulary greatly.

In “The Interlopers” by Saki, Ulrich and Georg view each other as interlopers, outsiders intruding on their land and their lives. Think about a time when you felt like an interloper or when someone else felt out of place in your world. How did that situation affect relationships, emotions, or outcomes?

Everyone has burning questions about life. Mysteries we wonder about but don’t always have clear answers for. Think about your biggest questions about existence, purpose, or the world around you. Write a blog post where you share at least two of your most burning questions about life and explain why these questions matter to you.

Write about a time when you did something out of the norm. What was it and how did others react?
